The purpose of the Society is to be an organisation with global reach and impact focused on the broad field of Endodontology, the branch of dental sciences dealing with health, injuries to and diseases of the dental pulp and periradicular region, and their relationship with general health and wellbeing.

Presentations Guidelines

All presenters MUST attend the entire session they are allocated to. It is NOT possible to change the day and time of presentations, so if you submit an abstract, poster or video, you must be available for the entire congress.

Timetables for each presentation will be provided in advance of the Congress for – Educational Posters, Research Posters, Clinical Posters, Clinical Videos and Oral Presentations on Freely Chosen Subjects.

Clinical Poster Presentations (E-Posters): 
All accepted Clinical Posters will be moderated with 5 minutes allocated for presentation followed by 3 minutes for questions. The nominated author must be in attendance for the entire session they are allocated to. 
Please note: These posters will be presented using electronic poster boards and do not need to be printed.

Clinical Poster Award Competition: 
The ESE Clinical Practice Committee will select the best e-posters and the author asked to present their poster as an oral presentation in a lecture theatre. The poster will be projected onto a large screen and the presentation should be approximately 10 minutes long with 5 minutes for questions. This session will be on Thursday 4th September 2025 from 14:30 to 16:00.

Educational Poster Presentations:
All accepted Educational Posters will be moderated: 3 minutes are allocated for the presentation with 5 minutes for questions) and only those presented by the nominated author (as indicated in the abstract) will be published in the International Endodontic Journal. The nominated author must be in attendance for the session they are allocated to. Posters MUST be portrait style. Size max 84 cm wide by 118 cm high (print size A0).

John Whitworth Educational Poster Award Competition: 
A limited number of high-quality submissions to the Educational Posters category will be selected by the ESE Education & Scholarship Committee, based on criteria developed by the Committee, to be presented orally as well as by poster. Following the reviewing process, the authors will be asked if they want to present their work as an oral presentation. The oral presentations will be limited to 10 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion. The best presentation will be awarded €1,000.

Research Poster Presentations: 
All accepted Research Posters will be moderated: 3 minutes are allocated for the presentation with 5 minutes for questions) and only those presented by the nominated author (as indicated in the abstract) will be published in the International Endodontic Journal. The nominated author must be in attendance for the session they are allocated to. Posters MUST be portrait style. Size max 84 cm wide by 118 cm high (print size A0).

Paul Dummer Research Poster Award Competition: 
A limited number of high-quality submissions to the Research Posters category will be selected by the ESE Research Committee, based on criteria developed by the Committee, to be presented orally as well as by poster. Following the reviewing process, the authors will be asked if they want to present their work as an oral presentation. The oral presentations will be limited to 10 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion. The best presentation will be awarded €1,000.

Clinical Video Presentation & Award Competition: 
All accepted Clinical Videos will be shown in a lecture hall. The presenter will be informed when the showing will take place and it is recommended that the presenter attends the session in case there are questions from attendees, however, attendance is not essential.

Oral Presentations on Freely Chosen Subjects: 
Presentations are expected to be projected in PowerPoint. The presentation should be a maximum of 15 minutes long with an additional 2-3 minutes allocated for questions from the audience, that is 18 minutes in total.

Oral Presentations at the Specialist and Certified Members Symposium:
Presentations are expected to be projected in PowerPoint. The Presentation should be a maximum of 20 minutes long; at the end of the Symposium 10 minutes will be dedicated for questions from the audience to all the 4 speakers.

General Endodontic Posters Presentation:
MUST be printed in portrait style. Size max 84 cm wide by 118 cm high (print size A0). This category will not require presentation.
