All presenters MUST attend the entire session they are allocated to. It is NOT possible to change the day and time of presentations, so if you submit an abstract, poster or video, you must be available for the entire congress.

Timetables for each presentation will be provided in advance of the Congress for - Original Scientific Research Posters, Clinical Posters, Clinical Videos and Oral Presentations on Freely Chosen Subjects.
Original Scientific Research Poster Presentations:
All original scientific research posters will be moderated (three (3) minutes are allocated for the presentation with 5 minutes for questions) and only those presented by the nominated author (as indicated in the abstract) will be published in the International Endodontic Journal. The nominated author must be in attendance for the session they are allocated to. Posters MUST be portrait style. Size max 84 cm wide by 118 cm high (print size A0).
Oral Presentations at the Specialist and Certified Members Symposium:
Presentations are expected to be projected in PowerPoint. The Presentation should be a maximum of 20 minutes long; at the endo of the Symposium 10 minutes will be dedicated for questions from the audience to all the 4 speakers.
Original Scientific Research Prize:
A limited number of high-quality submissions will be selected by the ESE Research Committee, based on criteria developed by the Committee, to be presented orally as well as by poster. Following the reviewing process, the authors will be asked if they want to present their work as an oral presentation. The oral presentations will be limited to 10 minutes plus 5 minutes discussion. The best presentation will be awarded a prize of €250.

When will I know what time I’m presenting my research?

Shortly after 17th June, you will be notified of the day and time of your presentation.
Presentations will be at 13:30 to 14:30 on Thursday, Friday or Saturday, 07-09 September 2023. Make sure you are available to present on ALL of these days until you know your presentation day. Presentation slots can NOT be changed.

No. The posters are arranged by topic and all the posters in that section are presented on the same day.

What time can I start setting up my poster for presentation?

All Presenters should have their poster up by 14:00 on 6th September. All posters must be left on display until the end of the congress. If your poster is still up the following morning it will be disposed of.

If my poster is displayed but I do not present my poster will the abstract still be published in the International Endodontic Journal?
Answer:
No. You need to display your poster and give your presentation on the time and day given to you or your abstract will be withdrawn and not published in the IEJ.

Clinical Poster Presentations (E-Posters):
All accepted original Clinical Posters will be moderated with 5 minutes allocated for presentation followed by time for questions. The nominated author must be in attendance for the entire session they are allocated to.
Please note: These posters will be presented using electronic poster boards and do not need to be printed.
Clinical Poster Prize:
The ESE Clinical Practice Committee will select the best posters and the author asked to present their poster in a lecture theatre. The poster will be projected onto a large screen and the presentation should be approximately 10 minutes long with 5 minutes for questions. This session will be on Thursday 7th September 2023 from 14:30 to 16:00.

Clinical Video Presentation:
All accepted videos will be shown in a lecture hall. The presenter will be informed when the showing will take place and it is recommended that the presenter attends the session in case there are questions from attendees, however, attendance is not essential.
Clinical Video Prize Presentation:
All accepted videos will be shown in a lecture hall. The presenter will be informed when the showing will take place and it is essential that the presenter attends the session. Following the showing of each video questions from the audience to the presenter will be allowed. This session will take place on Thursday 7th September from 16:30 to 18:00. Attendees will be asked to vote on the best presentation and a prize of €250 awarded to the winner at the end of the session.

Presentations are expected to be projected in PowerPoint. The presentation should be a maximum of 15 minutes long with an additional 2-3 minutes allocated for questions from the audience, that is 18 minutes in total.
